link So these guys have an office not far from where I work. Was talking to one of the guys and he said that there are models of the stuff they make out there. But he wasn't sure what scale or where to get them at. Has anyone seen a model of the tall MaxxPro APC? |

Khurasan has one that's close, the "Evil Patrol Truck."
I don't know of anyone doing the licensed model in 1/100 scale, yet. |

Looks a lot like that Matchbox A/C that has been showing up on here lately. |

I used to work for International/Navistar at their Fort Wayne engineering center. I will leave the politics out of here as to why it is "used to". I did some minor design work on the MRAP in the link, the early mounting version for the spotlight above the door (it has since been changed again). When I was working for them there were several toy trucks of that MRAP and the other versions around the office. I believe that they were in the 20mm scale range. I know for a fact that they were too big for 15mm since I brought in a miniature to compare relative size. I don't remember who made it but there was a highly detailed model out in scale to 28-30mm. It was a mix of resin and photo etched brass and went for around $100. USD At the time we, engineering, were about to be laid off so I wasn't wanting to spend any extra money. I am now regretting that decision since International's law department right after that made them take the model off of the market and I could have had the most detailed model of that MRAP that I have seen yet. Both exterior and interior. I really like the ones that CSE has in the link, if only you could get rid of that running board. They look great though and I am thinking of borrowing the idea. |

The running board is part of the metal Hot Wheels frame, you'd need to drill the rivets to pop the frame off and then dremel the frame. If you were going for utter accuracy, sure. I'm not sure all that extra work is worth it, personally. |

holy image size batman! I'd like to see these things done as well as some more MATV type vehicles. They're pretty awesome (rough ride though and I'd take my stryker over one anyday ) |

By the unholy powers of the internet, I command this thread to live again!!!!! MwahahahahahahahaHAhahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Ahem. OK, on a more serious note, has anyone made a 15mm MaxxPro in the last couple years, or are we still choosing between Khurasan's Evil Truck and a Hot Wheels armored truck? |

Tried GZG MRAP Range? V15-100 A-D link link Regards MMG. |

Excellent! Thanks, MMG. I'm actually trying to build my friend's Stryker Company from when he was in AStan, and all the TOE Humvees were replaced with either MaxxPros or M-ATVs. Graham said that the AC in the MRAPs was priceless, and well made up for the top-heaviness. |
