AFAIK they were released very recently. I have not seen any reviews yet, but there are quite decent sprue pictures on their website: link |

I didn't like how they go together. Musculature looked weird with all those seems. They looked liked Frankensteins. |

IGWARG1: I think this is about WWII Germans, not about their ancient Germans. |

If these are the 15mm ones I saw them at Cold Wars. They looked nicely detailed to me. I liked them. |

They look very good to me. |

If these are the 15mm ones I saw them at Cold Wars. According to the subject line, the question seems to be specifically about the 28 mm versions. |

According to the subject line, the question seems to be specifically about the 28 mm versions. Indeed it is. The figures should be the same figure poses. Just different sizes. |

I would like to see some more information about these guys also. They look good in the photos but it would be good to hear from someone who has held them, built them and such. I remain very optimistic about them. |

"According to the subject line, the question seems to be specifically about the 28 mm versions." Yes, there is that. |

those are surprisingly
. good! Everything I have seen from them looks like cheap crap. Quality was similar to those "bag o army men" at the dollar store. These on the other hand look as good if not better than most of the Bolt Action Miniatures line. WTH? |

I'd submit to you that people buy large amounts of crap from Chinese factories. |
GOTHIC LINE MINIATURES | 05 Apr 2012 1:26 p.m. PST |
when you hold a plastic soldier in your hands you realize it is very light
almost like paper
Plastics for 28mm are a reality for fast cheaper armies but the feel is just not there and it is not just a matter of weight, I still favor their metal counterparts, metal rocks. Furthermore it is a totally different thing to have a plastic 1/72 soldier and a 28mm one we are all used to plastic in 1/72 but when it comes to 28mm just feels off even resin is better IMHO. |
15mm and 28mm Fanatik | 05 Apr 2012 8:48 p.m. PST |
I like both metal and plastic figures in 28mm, but I have to disagree with Gothic Line Miniatures because there are 28mm plastic miniatures everywhere and 28mm plastic figures have been around for a long time. It isn't something 'new.' Games Workshop had plastic 28mm miniatures for 25 years, since the RTB01 beakie space marines. In WWII 28mm is a fairly recent phenomenon, but for other historical periods they've been around for longer. |

I have to agree with 28mm WW2Fanatik here, and even take it a step further- I prefer plastic figures when it comes to 28/30mm miniatures, and by a huge margin at that. Only if they're multi-part, though- single piece plastics just don't do much for me. Simply put, they are much easier to convert, easier to achieve a truly good glue bond with (so long as you use solvent-type cement rather than superglue), easier to store en masse (I've had shelves collapse under the weight of stacked boxes of metal figures before), and these days, provide detail that is on par with metal figures. I genuinely do not miss the days of needing to break out my fret or razorsaw and hobby vise every time I needed to cut a figure apart to achieve the results I wanted. - Monk |
