Pendraken is your best bet. Options include: PS8 (Heavy machine gun bunker) – with the wing and the 'steps' removed. PS9 (Command bunker) PS23 (Machine gun bunker, type 2) PS27 and PS28 (Tobruk type MG bunker, type 1 and type 2) – with sandbags removed/hole filled in (type 1) and roof projection removed (type 2). These two are most like the blockhouses that German troops used, where the sole purpose was to protect the occupants during bombardments. Machine gunners would climb onto the roof or use prepared positions nearby once the bombardment lifted. Any slits in the sides were used for observation purposes only. Robert |

Thanks Robert for your infos. Yesterday I have received from Pendraken US and German troops for the Bellau Wood pz8 rules scenario but I had no idea for the bunkers. Happy Wargaming. Marzio. |

Marzio, Belleau Wood was fought as an encounter battle in the Spring offensives. There were no concrete bunkers or pillboxes in the area during that fighting. You won't need them. MG positions and underground shelters were created later in the second phase of the battle but there are no models for this that I am aware of. These positions were temporary and were not made of concrete. Robert |

Thanks I know of the battle history, but it will be a demo game for our convention milisaona.it and I prefer to show some bunkers on the layout for the visitors. The other positions will be obviously temporary. In the rules there' s no much difference between bunkers and temporary positions so this will help the gameplay. Marzio. |
