What would you like to see in a War of 1812 range? Naval warfare, land warfare, amphibious warfare? Invasion of Canada, Chesapeake, Louisiana, frontier? Any particular units? Any particular personalities? Any particular artillery or equipment? Forts and buildings?
What would you buy, paint, and/or play?
I'd like to see Barney's gunboat flotilla.

I've already got a ton of 15mm War of 1812 figures, but my plans to put on the battle of New Orleans on the 200th anniversary in 2015 are being hampered by the lack of suitable figures… highlanders in bonnets & trews, British West Indian Regiments and American "coloured" militias… some Kentucky Mounted Riflemen would be most welcome too! Someday I'd like to build a small flotilla of 15mm ships for the conflict, when I have oddles of cash…
(I have considered doing War of 1812 skirmish in 40MM, S&S are producing a range.)

I would love to see some reasonably priced 28mm Fort structures for the Western battles (Fort Meigs eg). OG has 25mm Fort buildings but they are expensive.
Also, 28mm American artillery teams --horses riders etc.; MGens Brock and Drummond; American pioneers, casualty/dead figures, Marines and more personality figures (Knuckleduster makes Scott, Brown, Ripley and Col Gardener).

Sash and Saber have started a line for 1812. So far they have americans in three jackets. You can also get different heads. One head is the turbaned head for the Maryland troops. They range is not all out yet, but I am trying to be patient. Not really one of my virtues, but we are working on it. They have most British stuff out already, but some specific things are still coming. I am hoping to have everything in time for the bicentennial.

Any images of the American Regulars available?

…1812 sculptor listening in (Knuckleduster here). Any 28mm requests?

grenadier7629 Mar 2012 4:36 a.m. PST

I think we need to see more firing and skirmishing line for both the American and British Regulars in regards to Sash and Saber.

Here are some pictures of Sash and Saber 40mm. My camera skills may not do justice, but I hope it helps.

I have a number of 28's, Old Glory & Victrix, figures. While they are OK I am thinking about using Knuckleduster for the rest of my Americans and Canadian's. As I am using a scale of 1:5 it makes a company about 12 figures. What I would like to see is the Royal Marine Rocket Troop, Civilian families, Pike's 3rd Rank Pikemen, Casualty Figures, Sailors, American Artillery Pieces and more offices, NCO's and drummers, buglers. Using the 12 figure company I have an officer, NCO and drummer/bugler per company so I use a lot of them.
