My two kids and I finished this for my fathers upcoming birthday. Lots of fun with the Eureka Teddy Bear Range:

Very nice! Might you consider mounting all of them on a small plinth? The figures are very nice, but maybe that might transform them a little bit more from wargaming figures on a chess board to more traditional looking chess pieces? Even just a small block of wood stained a rich cherry, or even painted to match the green around the outside? |

Good suggestion Lord Ashram, The bases are magnetised so I could easily attach them. It would make it a little easier to "identify the pieces", although I think this is half the fun. |

I remember helping you pick those out at CanCon. Very nice work there, I hope your father enjoys them. Mike |

I really like your work Mike, they look better in real life, my photography skills aren't as good as I would like. Have you ever thought about doing some Gauls or Celts or maybe Egyptian Bears? Nice opponents for the the Romans. We're planning our next set with the Frogs vs the Turtles, thinking a clear resin board with lilly pads and river bottom. Thanks again |
