Landing near the port [of Kunsan] from the frigate HMS Whitesand Bay on the night of 12-13 September [1950], Royal Marines and U.S. Army Commandos precipitated firefights with enemy troopers to convince Pyongyang that a main assault was soon to follow.

On a scale of 0 (no interest) to 10 (obsession), what would your level of interest be in a book of scenarios featuring commando actions in the Korean War?

Royal Marine07 Mar 2012 4:23 p.m. PST

750000 but perhaps I am a little biassed!

8, though I don't have any Korean War stuff. The fact that it is UK+US is cool to me.

What figures are there available for the Korean war in 15mm?

HostileContact07 Mar 2012 5:53 p.m. PST

Got a fair bit of interest in the period, so I'd rate about an 8.

Hey Royal Marine,

completely off topic, but I was wondering if you might happen to know a Falklands veteran, a Lance Corporal named Keith, can't recall his surname but I believe it was Mellor or something similar (fifteen years since I last saw him). He left the service after a messy incident in the early 90's in NI and was then at Kingston College as a security guard? It's a long shot, but he was a big influence on me for a few years and I was hoping to get in touch with him, so thought I'd ask if you know who I mean or know someone who would?

Cheers,
Andy

5 or 6 I guess.
I'd play if the figures and terrain were provided and the company was pleasant.

Sounds very interesting to me … However, if they are talking US Army Commandos … they must mean Rangers …
