I see people referencing their alternate/multiple accounts pretty often, but I don't recall seeing a poll on this.

How many TMP accounts do you have?

1 – I'm Spartacus!
2 – No, I'm Spartacus!
3 – Ménage à moi
4 – I'm my own fireteam
5+ – We are Legion

So is that 1 as in Answer #1 or 1 as in 1 account?

I have 1 anyway.

John the Greater05 Mar 2012 11:49 a.m. PST

1.

I thought more than that was sock puppeting.

And the follow-on question:

"How many people responding "1" are really the same person with multiple accounts?" ;)

Derek H05 Mar 2012 11:55 a.m. PST

I don't know.

Set up at least two more in the dim and distant past, but can't remember the passwords.

John the OFM05 Mar 2012 11:57 a.m. PST

I had a few on different work computers. I always started a new one when I forgot my passwords when I got a new cookie jar.
A few I started just to argue with myself. Hey, it it's good enough for Braxton Bragg…
Some are sleeper accounts, for when Der Tag arrives.

How many? Bwaahaaahaaahaaa!

I thought more than that was sock puppeting.

Nope. Check the FAQs. Specifically permitted, nay encouraged.
I know. It makes as much sense as getting DHed for calling someone a "troll", but he troll icon is considered high wit. troll

Charles Marlow05 Mar 2012 12:00 p.m. PST

1. Why would I want/need more?

Caesar05 Mar 2012 12:01 p.m. PST

I had two, one for home and one for work, but I realized how nonsensical that was and abandoned the second one years ago.

Oddball05 Mar 2012 12:01 p.m. PST

1, don't need anymore.

I have just one.

Never had a need for more.

Not that hard to remember a password and use it on multiple computers. If you can remember game rules you should be able to remember one word.

I know some people have admitted having more than one so they could go back and read the greyed out stifle boxes on threads so they could see what the stifled person was saying.

I know, why bother stifling when you use another account to read all comments….?

I didn't ask that question because the response would likely be even more lame and I would waste fifteen seconds of my life on it.

1. Haven't yet found a reason to distance myself from my own statements. Some may say I should, however.

Do you need more than one? Honestly?!?

SECURITY MINISTER CRITTER05 Mar 2012 12:47 p.m. PST

The War Minister and I are accused of being the same person, but we look nothing alike. Also Crittumbette is much younger than Critterette.

mad monkey 105 Mar 2012 12:54 p.m. PST

mad monkey and mad monkey 1

Forgot the password. Haven't used mad monkey since.

Sundance05 Mar 2012 1:02 p.m. PST

2 or 3 but I only know the username and password for one of them – no idea what the user name and password are for the other two.

JRacel05 Mar 2012 1:07 p.m. PST

Just the one the last time I checked . . . .

One and only one. I have trouble with one personality, I can't be managing any more than that.

Thousands…supposedly. ;-)

I did have one that I regret losing from way, way back in 2002 I think it was. That was when I started at TMP but sadly the email associated with it has gone down with some regional ISP and alas nevermore…
