We played a "small" pirate game yesterday afternoon in Lycée Bienvenüe (a college) in Loudéac (Brittany, France), it was a small event about history and games.

By the way, what rules are you using for the vessels, and figures?

The ship forms, and sailing angle templates look interesting.

The naval rules are under development, they have been written by our friend Didier; not released yet their name is "Per Mare Et Terras" (PMET). At first there were papers, charts, and templates, everywhere on the gaming table but after some thoughts and much work he managed to put all informations on one single template for each ship.

Rules on land are my own skirmish rules "Argad!".

The PMET rules consider that speed of 1 knot is roughly equal to 4 cm / game turn, 2 knots = 8 cm etc; this is roughly equal to the "Argad!" movement scale so the two rules are fully compatible.

(PMET could probably also be played using LOTHS on land).

Thanks for the info on the rules Patrice, and also for sharing your Argad rules with us.

We had an other game yesterday, and we decided it would be a continuation of this same game – but on a larger table !

It was intended for initiation, so different players took part in the fight.

We had very hard fightings! The governor himself had to fight when pirates entered the house and came upstairs!
