Is anyone aware of good source material for infantry TO&Es for the Korean War: Chinese, North Korea, US and ROK forces? I am hoping to get down to the details of the Platoon Level. Thanks Dave commandpostproductions.co |

You can try the Osprey on the US Army in the Korean War.The USMC would have the late WWII To+E. As to the Chinese NKs and ROKS I've never been able to find anything. Would you please let us know if you do? |

I have read that the Chinese had Grenade Platoons, presumably unarmed with rifles or pistols. Their job was to attack the frontlines throwing hand-grenades and then pick up any weapon they could. They were followed by sub-machine gun platoons to sweep the shell shocked enemy. Size and composition, I have no idea. Also, I believe the North Koreans would have been organized in the Soviet Infantry structure, as they were form by them. |
