Well we made aroad trip down from Copenhagen yesterday to Tactica in Hamburg. The display games where really nice, and a good selection of vendors. However, it seemed that the con has out grown the venue. There was no room to move around between tables to watch the games, and every time you stopped at a vendor to look some one with a great big back back would turn and knock you to the floor, well ok maybe not that bad, but really tight. Too bad as we where hoping to run a game or two next year but with such a tight venue it really looks like it would not be too pleasant. William

Great pictures! The Dystopian War table is unbelievable. I considered going but the 450km drive and work deterred me. Maybe next year

Some insanely gorgeous tables there! Too bad it's an intercontinental flight away. Maybe when I win the lottery

Thank you for sharing your photos and experience. What a great show. Wish I could have participated this year and added to the throng. I hope others who could attend will share their photos and experience, too, so the host who could not attend can at least enjoy the spectacle vicariously : ) |

William, I have to ask. What is it about this European tendency to use backpacks as a close quarters weapon? I actually don't see too many back packs in your photos. The last photo shows a fellow in the middle with one, minding his own business. A girl in the foreground clasps her purse. You weren't knocked down by her, were you? Seriously, your photos are excellent and bring out the very high quality of the gaming tables. I wish I could get back to Hamburg and have some Hamburger Aalsuppe (Eel soup), and some Gröninger Privat Brau. |
