Does anyone make minis of dogs. I am looking for small 25mm dogs or large 15mm. Not wolves, I know there are tons of them out there. Stuff like bulldogs, like the old GW warhounds that looked like pit bulls.

Excelsior makes some that look like mastiffs for their Chronopia Sons of Kronos faction. They should be available.

Irregulars. They got dogs in 25mm.

SHQ has a 20mm WW2 German sentry with a German Shepherd on leash.

Or browse through the toys section of your local store - I use my nephew's beasts for gladiatorial games.

excelsior also has in the Warzone range variations of the Chronopia ones,
Gripping Beast has dark age stile dogs (very hairy), and foundry has a nice german shepard but it comes in a pack with 8 WW2 nazis.
maybe chek other 'general' ranges at historics manufacturers

Pulp figures has a very nice looking bulldog as part of the "Rugged Heroes" (PHP-2) pack.

Chronopia would be way too big. Probably Pulp would work, i'll have to take a look.
To be more specific i'm basically looking for dogs which are the size of 15mm wolves. I check out the old thread as well.
Thanks for the info

Foundry has just brought out a pre-cast pack of wardogs - about half a dozen - and some of these are quite small

Good news, Peter Pig makes 15mm dogs as part of their eagle army. So I guess I found what I was looking for. However, if anyone knows of other 15mm dogs I would still like to know. As far as I know PP only has one type of dog.
Thought I would pass along the info in case someone else is looking for 15mm dogs.
Thanks for the help.

I have some 15mm canines as part of an Inca war-dog group. They're made by "Naismith Design" (available thru Navwar), catalog number "E7" for One Pound in the Queen's Currency.

They look fast and lean, a bit like greyhounds, just not as wispy. --Hope that helps.

(Of course, some of my loveable old Mike's Models "horses" look rather like puppy-dogs too. Tee hee.)

Gripping beast do irish wolfhounds

Westwind have some mean looking dogs with a pack of "wolfen jeager"

You mentioned your are looking for 25mm dogs. I don't know which models you mean by "old GW warhounds". I do know GW has for Mordheim two different warhounds. Mordheim was introduced in 1999, so not really that old.

Hovels do a farmer with dog and a shepherd with dog and a sheep. Foundry do also a shepherd with dog and sheep.

Ral Partha (Iron Wind) has Conquistadoe mastiffs.

I'm the sculptor of Corvus Belli's 15mm miniatures. We have a dog in 150042 Celtic civilians, you can see it at our website or I can send you a pic if you write me to info@corvusbelli.com

sorry for the "promotion"!!

Thanks for all the input.
One note for drunkendwarf. I have an old GW Catalog from 1993 which shows dark elf beastmasters with pit bulls, 3 to be exact. Just thought I would mention it in case the info proves useful to someone collecting old GW stuff or dogs.

Freikorps/Platoon 20 do a pair of dogs in 20mm for their US army in Vietnam range security patrol and Dixons do a couple of very scrawny dogs in 25mm in their plains indians range.

The old GW dogs were part of the Marauder Dark Elf line. They came in a blister called "Dark elf whelpmaster" that included three different dogs and an elf handler with whip. The doggies were real cool - I have all three painted up - and difficult to acquire these days.

The Mordheim warhounds are still available in blisters of 3 (2 different poses), they are not bad but not really perfect for general use, as they have some spiky harnesses for protection that can be tough to remove. However, if you want your dogs more kinky, these should be cool. I have 3 of these two.

The Warzone/Chronopia dogs are not too bad, but they only had one pose (the rear leg was separate, but not poseable). I have 3 of these two, they are nice but would require more poses to be impressive. They are a bit larger than the above mentioned GW dogs.

And if you are really lucky you might be able to find some of the mid-80's GW dogs (from Elf Animal Handlers blister), those were beauties too.

RAFM does have a cute little dog in its fantasy line: in the blister "Dwarf Conquistadors", the dog apears. Not much variety in pose, though; it just looks at nothing and wags its tail.

Irregular miniatures have dogs, in 15mm as well as Geese, Ducks, cows, sheep, Donkeys etc.

Got mine from Eureka Miniatures and I have to say that Toma (my first Dog) and Milly (our second dog), look very good guarding the sheep my Thraican tribes stole.

I have always wanted dogs ( 15mm) to put on a few stands and by chance was working across the street from the Ye Olde Train Shoppe in Boyertown Pa and decided to see what they had for my troops as there were many possibilities.
Finally found a pack of dogs made by Bachmann in Philadelphia in HO but they will be fine for 15mm. S dogs now to spread around. Maybe a few generals, 1 for one of my pack horse trainsmaybe some infantry regiment
