Say that three times fast and by the time your done you've got your new game ready! Or so I would imagine the pitch would go. :) Simply put, would you buy a complete game for 1-2 players(scale vague for discussion) that comes in a variety of genres that include only a few miniatures and a one page rule for a scenario, a die, and perhaps 1-2 card terrain pieces?
I could see these as easily transportable, quickly played pre-game games while your waiting on people to show or cheap ways to introduce people to wargaming or expand their scope of gaming. |

Many years ago there were some micro games that came with card counters but played as a wargame. had a couple and enjoyed them. so yes i would give it a go if the subject was right. mick |

"Many years ago there were some micro games that came with card counters but played as a wargame" I think I've still got most of mine – Ballistic Misile, Micro-Napoleonics etc. I've also still got my original Ogre still in its ziplock bag:) wrt the OP, I'd certainly be interested in any micro/fast rules but I'm less bothered about complete games in one with terrain, dice, figures etc. I've got all that stuff myself. Other market segments may disagree. |

No — but I'd buy the rules separately and use my own extensive collection of fantasy and sci-fi minis to play the game. |

Many years ago there were some micro games that came with card counters but played as a wargame. had a couple and enjoyed them. so yes i would give it a go if the subject was right. When I was in high school, my grandmother bought me something that sounds like this. It had rules, several WWII micro-armor tanks, and I believe it had a map. And a few years ago, I bought my son Star Wars minis that had a complete game inside. You got a random assortment of pre-painted 28mm minis, two paper maps with a bunch of terrain overlays, and some simple rules. Granted, they weren't the greatest wargame rules I've ever seen, but we had a lot of fun with them. I ended up buying him several packs, giving him about 15 or 20 men per side. |

If the price was low, yes. |

I think I've still got most of mine – Ballistic Misile, Micro-Napoleonics etc. I've also still got my original Ogre still in its ziplock bag:) Micro-Ancient, Micro-Napoleonic, Micro-Sail, Micro-SciFi and several others I think. They were by Tabletop Games and Heritage models. The ancient version is here

Maybe, if the price was reasonable and the components were decent quality. |

Used to have a couple of the TTG games. Not bad for what they were. |

Probably, but the set would have to have something I could use elsewhere. This means the miniatures would have to fit into my current collection or the rules would have to be good enough to make we want to use my current minis with them. So, I would buy a space ship or 28mm gladiator game if the rules or minis were decent, but I would not buy a 6mm Waterloo game even if the minis and rules were widely considered the best ever made for that battle. |

If you've ever come across the Sim-War series that was a brilliant idea that didn't quite take off. You bought A3 full colour maps marked out in squares and rectangles (for roads – faster movement!). And a rule set – IIRC they did WW2, Ancients and (maybe) moderns. The rules came with sheets of counters for the figures/vehicles – all in 1/300th scale. It was a highly portable game, and for play at home you could replace the counters with suitable 1/300th figures/vehicles. I have a vague recollection that ASkytrex produced it, but that could be wrong. I really liked it – but unfortuantely it failed so I only ever got a couple of the map boards. the Micro-Ancients, Micro-Napoleonics tc was a similar idea, but without the maps – just play on any tabletop. |
