got a navwars 1/3000 hms adventure minelayer ,built late twenty or early thirties ,anyone tell me how she should be painted (decks included)

Plain dull grey. She was mostly used as a depot ship during WW2.
I dont know if her decks were planked or not. If they were they might have been over painted with grey. If they were metal then they would definately be grey.

I have a nagging thought that I have seen an early war camouflage in photographs, but I cant recall the source. If so it would most likely be dark and medium greys or grey and black in the early war.

wikki has a pic of her in 1943 in what looks like home fleet dazzel patern of pale blue green and black but then again the pic is in Black and white …..Mikey

That's an Admiralty Disruptive Pattern – Light scheme, probably consisting of MS1, AP 507C, B5 and possibly a 4th color.
