I am always disappointed by how much people are willing to pay for a pack of miniatures put up for sale by a private part. If you offer an opened pack of painted miniatures how much should you reasonably expect to get for it if you put it up sor sale if you feel you will need to repaint the miniatures? 20% of the original purchase price 30% of the original purchase price 40% of the original purchase price 50% of the original purchase price 60% of the original purchase price 70% of the original purchase price 80% of the original purchase price 90% of the original purchase price 100% of the original purchase price |

25% of the original purchase price Because of the extra work needed in stripping the paint off the figures. |

Highly variable. Some 20%. As above reason. There are some at 100% or more. Out of production. Hard to find. Quality of paint job (I love to paint so am not usually happy to leave the as is). More. |

Too many variables to generalise. But unless they're really well painted it will be less than original price. |

If you cant see them in person probably less if you feel you need to repaint. If you can see them in person and determine that you might only need to highlight vs. repaint then probably more, maybe even 400% or higher although I wouldnt base it on a percentage personally. |

They are worth exactly what someone will pay for them. No more, no less. |

How well do they fit your current army? Does the basing match your existing army? If vehicles do the decals match your existing army or would you paint them out and apply new decals? Do you have the correct shade of paint to paint them out? Typically less than bare metal. David |

Painted miniatures are a bipolar item. If the buyer regards the paint jobs as game ready, they are unique items that should command a premium. So I agree with sneakgun that *if* the paint job is excellent, in a long sale a painted miniature might be worth 250% of current retail price. For a quick sale, maybe 100% or 150% of current retail. But many seller's painted miniatures don't meet this standard, and it's somewhat in the eye of the beholder. If the buyer is planning to strip and repaint the miniatures then they are worth 25-50% of retail to him. If he thinks the paint jobs are below his standard but can be rescued, then 50-125% of retail. |
