I've always been disappointed at my ability to paint the all-metal vexilla that most ancient miniatures commands use for standards. Has anybody out there every had any success making or buying paper or cloth pieces and putting them on stands, as is done with later battle flags? |

I use decals for my metal ones
no paper or cloth. P. |

I decided NOT to wrinkle mine for 25's; super glued a wire cross piece on a spear, cut a piece of card stock (from a 3x5 card, as I recall) and glued that in place with the superglue. A little bit fiddly until the glue grabbed on the crosspiece, but it was dead flat and easy to paint. |

I used to paint them and also glue printed ones to the original surface (prittstick worked the best) but I now make my own TMP link Cheers Paul |

Thanks Paul. That's exactly what I was thinking of. Looks great, and I'm gonna give it try myself. |
