Skink master, Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was pleased with the way it went as well. I think the players were a good group, too, which always helps (for both games). Which game were you in? I'm thinking of reprising the event at Fall In! (not much time to come up with another "Ed-effort" between now and then, and my experience has been that these events still have some "legs" to them for at least two conventions; ran my Steenkerke twice and had no trouble filling seats). We'll see, and thanks again. Best Regards, Ed |

I was in the evening game,Right center, got totally trashed by Phil's guard units. You remember, you told me to cover the baseline and I asked you with what? The center was really cracked at that point. |

skink master, Right! I remember that moment (sort of defined the situation over there). I was feeling badly for you two guys. When the French third line went marching off to the left wing, en masse, it left you operating "without a net" against the Grand Alliance main effort. The French right can technically hold out, given positon and stationary status and all of that, but it can't afford to have any bad breaks along the way. I think you guys did a good job hanging on, for what it's worth, and maintaining a good attitude under the situation (perhaps most of all). Best Regards, Ed |
