f) As I walk through this wicked world searching for light in the darkness of insanity, I ask myself, "Is all hope lost? Is there only pain and hatred, and misery? " |

Well, you can love handing out pain hatred and misery, and if you hand out enough, you can get peace. Understanding – overrated, I prefer fear. |
T Meier | 02 Feb 2012 9:20 a.m. PST |
Animals are ruled by fear and drives, what we humans personalize as desires. This does not result in peace, quite the opposite. Understanding is pursued only for advantage and love beyond the family or pack is not an instinct. People being more subtle and sensitive can build on this framework universal love and understanding (and so, peace) but they rarely do. They do however commonly pay lip service to the noble aspiration. All in all this "homage vice pays to virtue" has more real effect in the world than the few people who come close to practicing love of their fellow man can hope to. That's why I say hypocrisy is all that stands between the human race and savagery. The hypocrisy of others is generally found amusing, perhaps because of the irony and/or discomfort or the disassociation. I have noticed small children enjoy laughing at the incapacities of even smaller children. |

I believe that's now know as "St. James NHS Primary Care Trust Blues" |
Connard Sage | 02 Feb 2012 10:19 a.m. PST |
Which probably goes some way to explaining the lyric: "I went down to the St. James NHS Primary Care Trust, I saw my baby there, but no nurses She was stretched out on a long white table in a corridor, so cold, and fine, and fair, and covered in a dirty blanket" |

I was on a training course once and the question "what has caused you the most stress at work" was asked. The guy who managed a team of hospital porters (= heavy lift & hospital security) put us all in our place "I guess the most stressful time I had at work was when someone in A&E pulled a gun on me". "Yeah", we all nodded in agreement, "that is worse than unreliable IT or a mean boss.". |

One would have to assume that the other guy feels the same way
Do I need to list all the names in history of the other guys that didn't want peace? It really comes down to tolerance and respect for your fellow man, doesn't it? Unfortunately, in the end, we are all selfish creatures. And before I get replies that his isn't so, it is said that the most giving person is selfish too because they get a great feeling by giving! lol We are all driven by different wants that translate at some point to needs. Even the most altruistic forms of government still oppress the masses in either direct or indirect form. Government is a necessary evil; but it is still evil, just less so in comparison
Give me that name of any current country and I will give you a list of how their government oppresses its own people. Sweden, Switzerland and New Zealand too by the way ;-) |

Foolish man with days to live. Waste not your time. It's way too late to save your soul in time. You're far too old your soul to find. You've wrecked your head, and blown your mind. It's too late to find your music soul. |
