Just discovered this game and range thanks to a mention on the excellent French (bilingual) Pousse Plomb blog devoted to flashnews about gaming miniatures:

Minis are available ex-illis.com/main.php?goto=store , link and some seem to be of quite general use

Hmm, I didn't realize Ex Illis was still around. It appeared in shops around here in late 2010, early 2011, then disappeared with most US dealers selling off their stock at a discount.

The Mendicum minis are new to me, and look like they could have many uses. Perhaps Ex illis is not dead yet!

Didn't ExIllis have a link to the same mfr (now owner) of Wargames Factory in China and ran into similar money issues that they owed the mfr?

A little bit of conversion, and those monks would make some nice, dynamic cultists.

Have a look at the Meeples and Miniatures site / podcasts. Neil is really keen on this game and promotes it: link

Love some of the figures and the board has me intrigued

Seemingly not, since the site will have a 'players showcase'?

The background is…. epic or weird, according to anyone's own taste. Angels, fallen angels, fairies, resurrected Arthur and his Knights, Charlemagne..

Rules-wise it's odd as (I believe) it's computer moderated. I gather the core rules include software to handle the combat. I don't know if that's a gimmick or the system is so covoluted that it's a necessity!

I can use those cultists.
Thanks for the pointer!

Brother Vinni's 'Plague doctor' could provide a Cult leader concealing some monstrous deformity:

The Priory of Sion link could be turned into a great 'Cult', active since the Crusades, though probably gaming would be restricted to European settings?

Before Da Vinci and Newton, Roger Bacon link could be added as Grand Master! And why not Galileo Galilei link?

By Lace Wars times the 'reported' Grand Master is Charles de Lorraine link: could the SYW cover an 'underground' war between the Knights of Sion and Free Masons using Frederick?

Of course the Priory is directly associated with the Grail, the Templars link / YouTube link / link / link YouTube linkYouTube linkYouTube link and the Cathars en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_Rahn / YouTube link
Nothing forbids to add the Lance of Passion, and even the Witchblade YouTube link (Joan of Arc also is a favorite topic of conspiracy theories) to the Great Artifacts of Power involved…
