Does it irritate you when podcasters eat while recording their podcast?

Space Monkey27 Jan 2012 6:57 p.m. PST

Yep.

SOMEONE has a pet peeve.
Since I never listen to podcasts…

John, they'd be perfect to listen to while you're on the road!

Well I do not listen to podcasts. However that certainly would be off putting.

One would think one activity or the other could have waited for later.

Not as much as when they drink alcohol.

I worked as a broadcast engineer so anything unprofessional is a turn off for me. I can't stand some really big name podcasts because they screw around to much.

Oh and a single mic for a table full of people is really bad. Makes my ears bleed.

I'm ok with some things. I've heard a clank every once in a while from someone painting during recording.

If you want to eat or drink then create natural breaks so you can take 5 mins and get your adult beverages or eat a snack.

Eating isnt the actual problem, its the smacking of lips and chewing while eating so near to the mike that makes it annoying.

Hint to Podcasters : if your girlfriend thinks shes a gamer girl because she has a halfbuilt army, namedrops at every opportunity, cant control her alcohol intake and is loud, rude and obnoxious when she's near a mike, shes not doing your show any favours either.

Got a link? That sounds like fun.

Another hint to podcasters: learn to breathe properly. And get your freaking adenoids sorted.

I like half-drunk podcasts. Fully drunk podcasts are hard to understand.
