How do you prefer your Blood Bowl?

With a side of cooked entrails.

I was a figures and dice purist for a long while, then I sat down at my XBox and played 20 games in an afternoon.

I like the hobby aspects and the camaraderie of a face to face league, but for flat out getting games played without getting your league waylaid by real life issues, you just can't beat video games.

Prefer tabletop but PygmaelionAgain says it all. I do think playing the computer game has improved my tabletop playing skills. That is if I ever get a game in again.

Tabletop is more fun, I think, but I can see the appeal of online play.

justBill27 Jan 2012 3:08 p.m. PST

I like the PC version but mostly for the lack of a real opponent.

fumbbl.com is how I get my 'fix' of BB.

Honestly, if the PC version had a Chaos Dwarf team, I'd be set for life.

Tabletop miniatures games are always preferrable to computer games.

JRacel27 Jan 2012 5:59 p.m. PST

I like the PC since it keeps track of everything for me.

It also looks good played on a Large Screen TV.

I play both, and prefer the tabletop version when I can get an opponent. To me, collecting and painting a unique team and making a themed dugout for them is part of the appeal of BB.

The computer version is very good for practice though.

I am with the OFM on this: tabletop miniatures game over computer game any day.

Bellerphon0628 Jan 2012 12:04 a.m. PST

I prefer the tabletop version (especially 2nd edition) as the computer cheats big time.

Neither – just doesn't appeal

I got the computer version for my 10 year son. I can't figure out how to play it, he loves it and plays it all the time.
I am sticking with the tabletop. Currently, I have ten teams.
