hey just downloaded an app to play traveller on the iphone
traveller ar
pretty cool so far 99cents…still in beta has some bugs to work out
can play as a scout, spacer,merchant
zhodani,solomani
pretty cool so far very true to classic traveller
still a little limited, but nice to have for the iphone
has character advancement, ship customization, and of course space combat and trading |

Please define "play" in this context. Is this a character generator? A scripted single-player adventure? |

an open single player adventure…non scripted
you go to the traveller aid society and accept missions
scouting, patrol, smuggling etc.
your character is generated for you, you begin with a basic ship
a scout , a fighter(10 tons cargo)
or a free trader and then you explore many many systems
have not done the ship combat yet, just scouting and trading from system to ststem
the catch is you can in game purchase coinz for credits to use upgrading etc.
just search traveller ar in the app store |

I just installed it on iPad .will update later on how it works
Seems to work fine on iPad…….although current beta edition is a little buggy
Seems to crash often….which I am told is being ironed out in beta |

It crashes alot on my 3G, though they did warn that it might happen… I'm having quite a difficult time piloting the ship in space though… I wish there was a mode where you didn't have to use the tilt function for it. |

I downloaded it on my iPod Touch 4th gen last night, but I can't seem to play. It keeps telling me to create a new character, but after I do, the only place to go is back to the main menu, and anything I want to do from there requires going back through the login screen to the "Create a New Character" screen. What the heck am I doing wrong?? |

did you register…an account…perhaps the name is already taken
did same to me then i added another 9 on end of name and it worked |
