One new game Angels 20 by Wizard of the Coast and new Wings of War (Now Wings of Glory) releases are due out in the next month. link Should be interesting time fro Gamers. I love my Wings of War models, but I am curious to see the new AA20 rules although I am not to keen on the 1/100 scale models. |

I'm looking forward to the Angels 20 rules. Like the OP, I already have collections of toy airplanes in other scales, including 1/144, 1/120 and 1/100. Angels 20 might revive my 1/100 collection, or I might play in a different scale. In any case, a set of rules that works well for 'bigger' airplane models, 1/144 – 1/72, would be very welcome. I think many wargamers have collections of models in these scales, and would like to be able to play with them on a table top instead of on a gymnasium floor. |

Would live it if they went backwards and released the first editions again. $75 USD for a Red Baron Tri-plane is a bit much! |

I have read Ares has plans to re-print all current material. This is just what was in the pipeline already when they aquired the product line. |

Got mine today. I briefly looked at them while on my lunch hour. The models look nice and the paint job is pretty decent. I'm not an air war fanatic, so I don't know if there are any nits to pick, but overall I really like what I see and think the planes are worth the money. |

I'm tempted to get a starter set and use the cards with my 1/144 models. I'll probably wait for the reviews first. |

I just found a complete list of the 31 cards in the set. link |

Scott--If all you want is the rules and the cards, I've got a starter set I was going to break up and sell off as parts. It will save you a lot of money if you are not interested in the planes. LMK. joseph.cairo@notes.udayton.edu |

Here is a scan of all the actual cards: link I ordered two starters to check it out and play with while I am deployed. If the rules are worthy I plan to use my 1/200 models when I get home so I can play both WoW or AAAF with the same modles. Since everything you need comes in the starter I cannot see a reason why one could not play using any modles they want. In fact I am kind of puzzeled that WotC went this route as there really is no incentive to buy the boosters unless you do not already have planes. The models do look decent, but if you already have an airforce probably not worth replacing an existing collection IMO. |

So is Wings of Glory all new and updated rules? Also new planes? Is there any reason that I should not finish getting the last few WW1 planes I do not have? And where do buy all the new stuff? is it out this week? sky |

No reason not to finish your WWI collection if you can find them. I thought the new bombers and WWII would be out by now, apparently held up in shipping. I believe Ares will eventually start reisuuing existing planes (WWI and WWII), but probably with different paint schemes so the old stuff should still be unique. You can find the rules on Ares site. It appears they are basically the same with slight modifications. It is the same game desiginer and he is committed to making it all compatible. HTH, Aaron |

I picked up the started set of Angels 20 and the planes are very well done. Of course, the main problem is there is not a lot of variety as of yet. It would be hard to do squadrons when you only have at this time two variants of the ME 109 and Spitfire. But still I can see using these in games of Check Your 6 or just playing the A&A game that comes with the set. For the price and the quality of the models this is a pretty good deal I think. |

I think that this will have more than those 31 Airpanes. From the listing of cards there were numbers in the high 40's. Link to review from BBG. link I saw the starter set and some boosters at the FLGS yesterday but did not buy. |

No, only 31 planes in the first set. The game designer (Rich Baker) who no longer works for WoTC did confirm in his blog that Set 2 was well in the works before he left. link I expect there will be at least 2-3 sets and if it really catches on possibly more. That would give 60-90 planes, with only about half being distinct models. |
