I recently picked up 3 Zvezda Shturmoviks from The War Store on the cheap, and painted them almost as soon as they came in! These are plastic 1:144 models that are snap fit (Of course I still used some glue). Putting them together was fairly simple. I did, however, decide to chop off the propeller blades. They were very flimsy and I just knew they wouldn't hold up…

Nice. I'll have to order some.

Just got a pair of their Stukas. Can't beat the price, especially as you only need one with V3.

Indierockclimber is right about the propeller blades.

But it's a nice, good value model, and easy to assemble.

I bought the full flight deal from Plastic soldier company, they are excellent value and look fine over the battelfield.

My preference these days (sounding my age now) is for models that look good, but I can get on the table fr a game with minimal modelling, not spending hours putting on each track bogey or undercarriage wheel. Zeveda fill this need nicely.

I have their Katyuskas and they are good as well, though if you want to spend time to have your force loo like small dioramas for battlefield, I can see comparing makes why you'd go for Batelfront or others companies.

Best thing about the Zveda planes: you buy them 1 at a time. Which is good since moving forward you will only need 1 plane.

On another note, I've bought the Panzer III, Panzer II, and German half track models from Zveda. They are a great value, but don't get them confused with Plastic Soldier Company for quality. On a scale of 1-10, with PSC being a 10, I'd say Zveda ranks about a 6, maybe 7. I'd say they are the plastic model equivelant to Game Models. Also, I was disappointed that the MG mounts in the wrong place on the half-track.

Still, isn't it nice to have all of these options for wargaming. Now, if only Peter Pig would design more than 3 poses per troop type…

Nice work Indierockclimber and Yesthatphil. I like both of your paint jobs.
