I didn't want to waste any of the HO scale intermodals or other 15mm resin containers by cutting them up for the purpose of just having a pair of container doors and a bit of the partially-exposed buried container (buried into the side of a small hill or mound).

So, what do you guys suggest as a container-built entrance to a Post Apocalyptic shelter?

Thanks,

Dan

Doesn't GZG sell some 15mm building parts? I think they have scifi doors. Just use those and glue them to the mound.

Yep, GZG and The Scene both have good doors and hatches.

To build something like the photos:
1.Make a hill out of insulation board (or whatever you normally use)
2. Get a sheet of plasticard with steel panel texture, and make a partial container shape sticking out of the hill.
3. Glue on one of the GZG/Scene doors
4. Paint it
5. Play it.

Which of the GZG doors would work best, in your opinion?

There doesn't seem to be any pictures on the website of the individual types.

Thanks,

Dan I have a load of new building accessories which I hope to release over the next couple of weeks, along with some shipping containers.

These pictures have given me a few new ideas.

So I will have something that you will be interested in before the end of the month, very similar to the pics.

After all I do need to sort out some bits for you.

Local law enforcement have raided a few of these as underground dope grow operation sites. Trickey Bleeped texts they are!

QUESTION:

Does anyone else plan to watch or record the 2-part National Geographic Channel show "Doomsday Preppers" on Tuesday, Feb 7, 2012?

It aired once before a while back, but I missed it.
