Not being above cannibalizing Tango's posts, I saw that Zvezda is releasing the following in plastic 1/100 quick build kits (source: link BA-10 Sd.Kfz. 142 StuG III Ausf. B Sd.Kfz. 222 Pz.Kpfw. III Flamethrower T-26 Flamethrower Matilda(!) AEC Matador Zis-42 with 37mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Opel Blitz (Kfz. 305) with 20mm FlaK 38 Some very useful items in here -- in particular the SdKfz 222, StuG IIIB, and Matilda (I'm assuming this is the II, but you never know
) Damon. |

Oh, a Matilda! Time to add some, particularly in the lovely Malta camoflage. |

I am happiest with the 2 A/Cs in that list, always good to have them. The danger of the Matilda is with all the German stuff already about, early desert war starts being viable
AEC Matador seems an odd choice though, as it was a gun tractor. |

Presumably the Matador is for Soviet use, maybe they used them as GP trucks as well as to haul big guns about. |

Well it seems they are releasing a bunch of brits, so the Matador and Matilda look like they're for a new British faction. With PzIIIGs in the collection, this looks to be squarely aimed at North Africa gaming/expansion (though the Matilda could be used by the Soviets as well!) Damon. |

OMG! wow! drool I have been waiting for an affordable BA-10 for ages and a decent Matilda will be very very handy even if it breaks my Soviet tanks only rule :) From that list I expect to get several BA-10s, some 222s and either 0 or 20 tildas :? |

The usually fairly reliable "Engines of the Red Army" website o5m6.de/index.html doesn't list the Matador as having been sent to Russia. Looks like plenty of new stuff to buy though! |

Zis-42 with 37mm Anti-Aircraft Gun Opel Blitz (Kfz. 305) with 20mm FlaK 38 Interesting to note that though their Vehciles are 1:100, the guns for this game system so far have been 1:72nd. It will be interesting to see how they handle these "mixed" items. I assume they will be 1:100. |

They may not be. I recollect (as their website is on a go slow) Zeveda has its own wargame system (Age of Battles I think its called) based on hexes. The box set has figures of different scales so you can see what they are but still fit on the board. The models all include the flagpole markers and a few other items to make them compatable with their game. |
