Hello,
this is my first horse in 28mm.
I want to start a range for the XVII century wars.

Let me all know what you think about this beginning sculpture.

Bye.

the picture in the upper right corner makes the horses neck and head seem a little too large and thick, but that may just be the angle of the photo. I think its a beautiful sculpture and that horse without furniture could be used for any period of history really.

Very nicely done. It would be nice to see the figure next to a standing man figure of the same scale to gauge some sense of the relative size. But that really looks good.

It is a beautiful sculpt!

However, will it be cast without the appropriate tack -- bridle, reins, etc.? If so, how woulld the rider control his mount?

I think it is a cracking effort, especially as you said it is your first attempt at a horse.

Like cavcrazy said, it could be used for any period, and I would consider a few of them for use in my Wild West games.

Hello,
as you all noticed, this is just a naked horse, which I mastered for multiple ranges. Im sculpting several poses able to use for all the period I wish. Actually Im planning a XVII century age, but of course I can use the same horse for a medieval, ancient, western or even a fantasy range.
I added a picture for compare the horse with a normal 28mm figure (in this case a Teutonic knight from Testudo). As you see, they match perfectly.

That's a nice horse! Let me buy a few, paint them up, and let's see how they look with an oil rubbed technique. I'm thinking they'll look great! Two thumbs up!
