Long Rifle is the black powder period immersion game where players take on one of six different roles. Set during the French and Indian War , 1754, players try to gain experience, fame and fortune in the wilds of North America, while staying alive. This is the first installment of my Star, Thomas Howard, hunter/trapper extraordinaire! Long Rifle can be used for any black powder war and includes army lists for F&I War, American Revolution, War of 1812, the Napoleonic Wars and the Texas War of Independence. "It's a big world out there Thomas, and you're only a small part of it." – Mrs. Howard, 1735. Thomas Howard found himself a failure at business and even more so as a husband. Perhaps because he was a bit too young or perhaps because he was a bit too foolish Thomas left his home in Massachusetts and set out for the West. Some said he was an adventurous man, others, his bankers, said he was a no good dead beat, but no matter how or why, Thomas found himself working for an old Indian named Blue Shirt

I would be interedted to know how many figures a side you need for this game. |

Wow that was quick! Players control small parties of between 1 to 5 figures. They can run into enemies with the possibility of almost twice as many. So 5-8 figures per side would be plenty. I use Blue Moon 15mm myself. |

Are you going to demo this at Spring RECRUITS? |

So this is basically New Beginnings for Muskets and Mohawks? |

tberry7403 – Seems to be as he's pretty darn lucky, no thanks to any brilliance on my part. ComradeCommissar- Probably Saturday or so. Just received the final edit. wargamer1972 – I'm not sure but I may make it out to recruits this year. Little Big Wars – Correct, but much more streamlined due to less subject matter to cover. If warranted I'll follow up with low cost scenarios and supplements although it does include lists for four other time periods and necessary rule mods. So you could play Last of the Mohicans one battle and Sharpe's rifles the next. |

Chapter 2 for those that want to know more. The first encounter as the group must reach the river and begin setting their traps. link I've realized that the game can be pretty addictive as the Encounters can play relatively fast and it leaves me wanting to see what happens next. |
