For me it is pretty much WWII (FOW)
but I will play anything occasionally
especially if someone else is putting it on).

John the OFM22 Dec 2011 6:36 p.m. PST

Flames of War for me too. I have Yanks, Bolshevik Horde and Pommies in the Desert.

Our group also plays a lot of Age of Reason AWI and SYW and '45.

myxemail22 Dec 2011 6:54 p.m. PST

Renaissance in the eastern and northern theatres (FoG:R) and WW II (Crossfire).

On game days I'm open for just about anything, especially if it something I haven't played before. When I get enough kit painted up, I'll be hosting games too.

A lot of Seven Years War/War of the Austrian Succession lately.

Danmer22 Dec 2011 10:57 p.m. PST

Dark Ages (various rules)
WW2 (BKC)

Old Contemptibles22 Dec 2011 10:58 p.m. PST

American Revolution – 25/28mm

American Civil War – 15mm

Boer War – 25/28mm

Franco Prussian War – 15mm

Napoleonic – 15mm and 25/28mm (but not at the same time)

Victorian Era Colonials: Zulu Wars, Sudan, Afghan, French North Africa, Boer War all in 25/28mm.

Our club has a rotating schedule which offers a wide variety of eras every year. Right now it is AWI and Napoleonics. Before that it was the Sudan and Boer War. Next will probably be French North Africa and FPW. We do two or three games a month each game a different era.

Pictors Studio22 Dec 2011 11:34 p.m. PST

I have been mostly doing Carlist Wars in 28mm over the last year. In the past two months though I have also done 6mm Sci-fi, WH40K, 10mm ECW, 28mm Anglo-Zulu Wars, 15mm Eastern Ren, 28mm WWII and 28mm Anglo-Sikh Wars.

In the upcoming months I'll probably be mostly doing 28mm Anglo-Zulu War, Carlist War, Sikh Wars and the Sudan.

Hmm, 'play regularly' is an interesting cncept. We try and do something different every week. Off the top of my head, in the last year we have done more than once:

Ancients, 6mm, 20mm and 25mm. Classical hoplite stuff and Punic Wars. Strategos and CnC Ancients

WSS, 2mm. Mainly big battles (Blenheim, Ramilles etc).Homegrown.

Napoleonic, 15mm, mainly C&C Napoleonics.

FPW, 6mm. Homegrown.

Colonial, 6mm & 15mm. Various rules.

WW1, 6mm, 15mm and 20mm. Everything from 1914 Eastern Front to 1917 corps level trench warfare. Various rules.

WW2, 6mm, 15mm, 20mm ans 28mm. All sorts of odd scenarios at various levels including two mini-campaigns, one being 6th Panzer Div in Russia and the other the Cheux mini campagn from the Skirmish Campaigns Epsom book. Some entertaining Dads Army games using Jim Wallmans dialogue mechanisms as well. Various different sets of rules.

Modern, 6mm WW3. Our ongoing WW3 campaign using NATO Brigade Commander.

A few naval diversions along the way as well.

Games being prepared for the post Xmas club games day include:

15mm WW1 (Mons, Corps Level)
1/1200th Fletcher Pratt naval
54mm Funny Little Wars, although I have a few more wicked Prussians to finish painting first.

abelp0123 Dec 2011 3:48 a.m. PST

None, life happens. But I have wonderfully painted armies and 1000s of beautiful figs for AWI, ACW, the Sudan, HYW, Ancients, Modern Iraq and Afghanistan , WWII all in 28mm and 40k. Never get to play anymore, but I do enjoy dreaming of playing them again someday

skinkmasterreturns23 Dec 2011 7:07 a.m. PST

A buddy and I played FoG once a month for about 2 years. For awhile we were doing a lot of BlackPowder.Lately its been BKC II. with another friend, its almost like we have ADHD,we rarely play anything more than 2 sessions in a row, cause somebody is always coming up with something new.

Its great to branch out and try new stuff, but you cant really appreciate a game with only one or two sittings. I got Tomorrows War when it came out,but I am actually planning that as a solo project,as well as the old Battlesystem. My plan is to get the scratch together for a decent table, but thats hard with a limited amount of hobby income and all these new figures and games.

Whirlwind23 Dec 2011 11:31 a.m. PST

6mm Napoleonics (Polemos/HFG/Painting Shed/Paul Leniston's)
6mm Ancients (A&MW)
6mm WSS (Polemos)
WW2 Air (FW/BtH2)

LHMGKodiak23 Dec 2011 2:23 p.m. PST

I am trying to branch out and play more different games but I am still trying to get a handle on all the nuances of FOW after 2 years. I hope to start a black powder project soon.

brass123 Dec 2011 2:32 p.m. PST

I wish I could say I played anything regularly. When I do get to game, it's almost always

WWII land – FOW
WWII naval – War at Sea
Sci-Fi – Mechwarrior

I just did a War of 1812 demo game for the National Park Service at Chalmette National Battlefield. I'm hoping the bicentennial will stir up some local interest in trying new periods.

Sundance23 Dec 2011 6:39 p.m. PST

WWII land, WWI/WWII/AIW air, ancients/dark ages/renaissance, occasionally ACW and WWII naval. But between us we have an awful lot of periods/armies and rotate between them as whim dictates.

LHMGKodiak24 Dec 2011 11:48 a.m. PST

I am going to try and start using my other armies more as I hate to see them just sitting around. Plus I want to start a 3YW Army, starting with the Scots.

Primarily play SYW Final Argument of Kings, Johnny Reb III, Flames of War and Empire Napoleonics with the occasional naval or ancient game thrown in. Rare to play two in a row of the same game system.
