I just received my copies of Miniature Wargames #345 January 2012. Inside is a glossy 20 page, advertisement free, centrefold pull out supplement complete with cover page. This is Ager Proelii, a set of rules for the Punic Wars.

Ager Sanguinis, my rules for the early Crusades (which was published by MW some years ago) was a complete sell out, so if you are interrested in this period it might be best to bag a copy early.

Buying this magazine for the rules is also a good way to look at the type of rule mechanisms used in Piquet games without having to buy Piquet rules on spec. They are very different and thought provoking; they provide for very tense and exciting games where command and control becomes blurred by Piquet style 'fog of war'.

A glossy set of rules for 4.25, go on, treat yourself!

Merry Christmas

Mine's on order through the FLGS. Should give me a good excuse to finally order some more Aventine figures.

Where's a good spot to order a single issue in the US?

Just placed the order. Took me a while to find it on the site. Looking forward to reading it over.

I'll have to try OMM, too, since local shops don't sell Miniature Wargames (or Vae Victis or…).
