Great to see – as ever one is humbled by those who serve our country – would that we have more people like that (and more coverage of them) rather than those in August 2011 who took a police incident in one high street as an excuse for looting and then blamed it on society and the OB. Incidentally I love the detail that the only shop in Tottenham or wherever during the riots that was left untouched was Waterstones the book shop – says it all really – probably scared to go in! I even noticed out shopping yesterday that the numbers in WH Smiths etc were significantly less than in many other shops – we seem to be a country with too many people who know all about drugs, X Factor and the latest phone etc but precious little about history, culture etc (must stop as going into GOM mode) – anyway great to see that video |
