The Pathfinder Beginner Box provides a way for new players to gain easier access to the Pathfinder RPG. The box is full to the rim with everything you'll need to play and GM the Pathfinder RPG.

Nice round up of it.
Might have to get this for my nephew for Christmas…

The review pretty much captures my impressions (although I wasn't a Pathfinder player). After playing a few adventures, I order the core rule book. Actually, I found the Beginner's Box to be better organized than the core rule book, but that may simply be due to information overload from the massive core book.

The art work in both books is astounding, as is the overall production value. Thumbs up for both products.

Agree that this is an exceptionally nice product. You can play up through level 5 and it provides a nice bestiary and 2d standees for the PCs and monsters. Very well done.

I talked to a gentleman yesterday who just got some of his little cousins playing the game. He originally wanted to find a D&D starter but since WoTC doesn't offer that anymore he got the Pathfinder one – and has been very happy with it. He's already created a bunch of new enthusiastic roleplayers with it.

I have both the new red box D&D starter (it's supposedly being reprinted) and the PF Beginner Box. The second product is a more complete game but is more expensive. You could easily play several months with the PF game. The current red box only have to level 2. Both are good products but I prefer the PF one---even though I don't see me ever playing full PF with its myriad options and expanded rules.

I'm thinking about buying the PF Beginner Box for my son for Christmas -- this made my decision easy. Thanks!

Thanks for all the feedback! Anyone who buys this will be happy with it. It is excellent for introducing children to RPGs and the components are beautiful!
