Remember the opening of Tron, with Recognizers vs. Tanks?

I'm thinking of doing a 6mm tactical game along this line, adding in light cycles, flyers and a couple other cyber vehicles to the mix. I've got the grid, and know what figures I want —

— question is, which set of rules?

I want to keep things pretty simple. I'm looking at Stargrunt II, but what else is out there that I could adapt to a small unit fight on the grid?

A few more parameters of what I'm looking for: 6 basic units, each with their own unique weapon. Not too worried about armor… cycles take one hit, boom, tanks a few more. Recognizers a lot. Speed keeps you alive as much as anything else (that, and detection. Cat and mouse among the structures of the grid.)

Maybe us Ogre/GEV?

What figures do you plan to use? I mean, the Lerchey-designed cycles and tanks from GZG I understand and agree with, but what about the flyers and Recogs?

Color me interested.

Recognizers are the ones from Tron Legacy last year. The whole toy is held together with only 2 screws, meaning they are easy to reconfigure for 'stomp mode' … And they are just about the right size for 6mm tanks and bikes.

Flyers are open to interpretation right now…

Any thoughts on the 5150 Chain Reaction rules?

Next question:

How big are grid bugs? :)

Video game has them smaller than human size, but there is no indication what so ever in the 1.2 seconds they are on screen in Tron as to a) what they can do and b) how big they are
