Hi all, I have been asked by several people to update my news on my Waterloo project as I have started bringing out Russians for Borodino and it seems people are worried I am leaving the Waterloo armies unfinished. I want to reassure my friends and customers all over the world that those armies still unfinshed will completed during 2012. Yes, I am concentrating on the Russians this month and next but I will be bringing out The French Guard Lancers at the end of December if all goes to plan. I will also do all the artillery trains for all armies in January. I am also writing rules to be released next year to fight actions at Brigade / Division level. My figures are based on painstaking and original research often translating to find the definitve uniform as in English this has not been available although the researchers at "Waterloo 1815" publishing who I have cooperated with are addressing this problem with online and printed material. Armies finished in my Campaign Game Miniatures 15mm range so far for Waterloo: Brunswick, Dutch Belgians Nassau Orange Nassau Hanoverians The British and French are well supplied with all the basics including some personalities and the Prussians have just been started. Yes I need to do the Young Guard and Guard Cavalry and a few bits for the British. In February I'll bring out lots more Prussians. Have a peaceful and Merry festive season and especially to my faithful customers who are getting impatient for these, as the Count of Monte Cristo said "Hope and wait". |

You know, posting all that without some pictures is tantamount to breaking the 12th Commandment, I think (the 11th commandment is thou shalt not pay retail unless absolutely necessary :-) Would absolutely love to see pictures of your project. And if you haven't done so, I think a blog would be appropriate. Some of us are more than likely doing a Russian Campaign battle but with a less lofty goal. We will be doing some 10mm stands and splitting up duties. Rules will be DBN and I would think we will be doing about 20% of the painting that you are doing (although we will be doing 8 foot figures a stand on 20X40mm) Goal is to have this done by Millennium 15 , which is November of 2012. |

Link for photos: link look at Photo Gallery for photos and for anything you specifically want to see click on Campaign Game Miniatures on the Makes menu on the left and the sub menus will open although you keep having to scroll down each time it does. With a bit of luck I will be in the Waterloo panorama this June playing the battle in 15mm invited by a Belgian policeman. I hope it's not a frame up job ;-)) |

I was one who ask for artillery trains for waterloo. I to see Austrian one on the web I will wait for the others. I have British, Brunswick and french and using CGM Russians now to replace the make I had paint before. These figuras are fantastics! |

Excellent, I see that I have been to your site already but did not know you by your TMP alias. Thank you very much. As an aside, I know that CGM matches well with AB. CGM is near AB in quality, correct? Obviously a good value. Anyone know a stockist in the U.S.? |

Yes ancientsgamer CGM are the best 15mm miniatures around rivalling anyone in my humble opinion and compatible with other leading makes. But especially for Waterloo as some leading makes don't have the right troop types or correct uniforms for this campaign. My Austrians and Russians are only half or less done so there is work there to finish those ranges but the Russians have priority as it's the bicentary of the Russian campaign and Borodino. 1812 Overture and all those explosions. No stockists in US but you get VAT taken off the web price as you are outside the EU and later this week I will announce a great discount on my figs for Christmas so stay tuned. Take care, link |

Have to say those are awesome minis, almost makes me want to switch back to 15mm but mine are battle honors these would be to big. I think I'll bookmark that link though just in case. |

What uniforms do the russians have? In kiwer (usable for 1812 onwards) or in the earlier shako (usable from 1809)? |
Brownbear | 29 Nov 2011 7:31 a.m. PST |
The CGM miniatures I meant |

Will be bringing out Russian Dragoons tomorrow, and Cuirassiers, Horse artillery men and the 12 pound gun and some Cavalry Staff officers next week if the foundry I use keep their promise. They are busy at Christmas too. |

Dang, just ordered some Dutch Belgians and French cavalry last week. Oh well I guess I'll have to order some more. Very excited about the French Guard lancers. |

Thanks for the info. Although I am not interested in the Waterloo period (heresy, I know) the 1812-1814 period (and 1809) is great. So Russians are in the spotlight |
