So, I'm looking for some durable transparent/translucent plastic fog. Are there any suitable clixy figures with this sort of thing that I could snip off or cuts bits off? Colour doesn't matter. I'm looking to simulate a magical effect, sort of like if I could put some pots of dry ice on my bases. |

That too, has been a long term project of mine. I have thought of using acetate sheets and painting one side with the necessary cloud effect. A second option, find a suitable photograph and resize and cut to fit over a sheet of cardboard. As I use 15mm figures, the fog shoud reach no higher than 30mm. This "wall", about 120mm would be supported so as to stand upright. The sections, perhaps 10 or 15 of them, could be staggered or echeloned to look like a "fog bank". cheers, |

I did some force field effects with a picture of olive oil. I reduced the opacity to about 75% and printed it in color on an acetate.

I can't think of a very foggy looking
anything, other than fog – but that is notoriously difficult to bottle. I have cast clouds before for fire, smoke and explosions. Normally use spray foam for the masters on those. I have also been playing around with clear liquid FIMO. One thing I have been working with is using a brush to make swirls and the like on aluminum foil and baking that in order to make certain spell effects. |

I know that the Clix figures have used hard clear plastic for a variety of effects. I'm familiar with a couple of their water ones, such as this one:
I'm hoping someone familiar with more of the Clix figs might be able to recommend ones that could be cut up to get the pieces suitable for fog. |

Many years ago we needed three foggy areas so we cut the bottom of a coke/fizzy drinks bottle and used them (At the time my dad smoked small cigars and blew smoke into them it was a fantastic effect ,they needed topping up every now and then) |

Hmm, I get the feeling that we don't have a lot of Clix players here
If I don't find something more appealing, that Aqualad water surf, or a very similar Iceman ice surf cut and turned sideways will probably do. |
