Ok, so i've plumped for 15mm Old Glory supplemented by Museum for the bulk of the figures. If I could get them, i'd use Khurasan for the generals elephant, some of the infantry and cavalry. So a couple of additional questions i'm not sure of. What would Indian tents for a camp look like? And, did they fortify their camps? I would tend to think not, but have no evidence for that hasty conclusion. And, apart from the old Ian Weekly 15mm Indian house, does anyone make Indian buildings or scenery – i'm taking it that at this period they didnt have the dome yet? Or am I wrong? Lastly – Yantra artillery? Did it have a specific look – or was it Greco-Macedonian mercenary? |

why not try an elephant park instead – some fences, a couple of figures standing about, and a few nellies . a nice camp to model, and you can use spare figures for it. |

Hmm, that might not be a bad idea : ) Would have to include a pavilion tent too – i'm intrugued by how garishly outstanding the colours might be on an Indian Kings pavilion. |

Perhaps a simple expedient of three mobile baggage carts drawn by oxen, escorted by extra foot figures based together. |

Indian camps were highly regulated and organised. Tents etc were is specified pitched, the whole thing was fortified with internal divisions as well. All camp followers were officially part of the army and had specific duties (including guard, gate, picket rota). The army took a sales tax on all transactions as well. |

How about an elephant painting tableaux? The war paint application was a very Indian activity and that would be very interesting and unusual. |
