What about miniatures that are sculpted in the UK, but sold by American manufacturers? |

By produces do you mean where the figure is sculpted or the place where it is actually produced? There is a big difference between the two functions. A lot of figures are now actually manufactured in a different country then the one they were designed in. For example Battlefront uses a factory in Malaysia and Wargames Factory in China. |

Canada: RAFM. Ok, well, I know they're not the best but their historicals are worth consideration: 25mm, nicely sculpted (I've always though the pics on the site don't do them justice), reasonable amount of choice of figs in the various lines, and priced fairly. I've a lot of their Reil Rebellion and FIW and I'm pleased with them. |

There are some very good miniature companies here in the US and I love Eureka Miniatures from Australia, but I'd have to give the edge to the UK. Some really good castings. |

I think the only sensible answer to this question can be subjective. I don't mean that in a pinko, tree-hugging relativist PC sense, God no! I mean that every gamer will have their own favourite ranges and suppliers, and may not be aware of perfectly good castings for the Spanish War of Jone's Nostril or whatever being produced in South Bongolesia
For me, I am torn between UK Calpe figs and Australia's Eureka miniatures, and I couldn't push a cigarette paper between the 2 in terms of quality

"I mean that every gamer will have their own favourite ranges and suppliers
" But that IS pinko, tree-hugging, relativist PC-ness. I like the figures I like so they are the best. This is of course the only possible answer, even though I'm still hugging my relative pink tree. Some people think that rose blossoms are God's gift to horticulture. Others believe that they are the short lived spawn of barbed wire. Most are indifferent. |

Most of my orders head for the UK. On the other hand there are some lovely things coming out of small US shops for starships and other SF figures and they are on my planned order list. For some things, like renaissance, the Italians have my money most of the time. |
