Early War, as it holds the promise of more interesting games. Though the other time periods are fun, they can sometimes just be an arms race for the next bad tank. |

Early war with the addendum rules on British Armor. They need to do some things to fix some of the possible French formations as well – they can be a real beast if run correctly! It becomes especially evident at higher point levels! |

"I thought WW2 was one period." When I was teaching History to some 16 year olds we surveyed the advancements in tank and antitank warfare. From a anti-tank rifle of c14mm to a 128mm anti-tank gun. Breaking it into a range of periods, while perhaps arbitrary, is effective and somewhat necessary given that FOW is used as a competition set of rules often between strangers, as well as friends with historically matched armies. Though I suppose people knew that. :-) |
