Cheers! US Navy Sims-class destroyers x6 (USS Roe, c. 1943) shpws.me/3sRw - there's also a request for a similar DD, the Bagley-class, which will be done in the following week/s. For those interested (and for variety), I could have a private sprue containing these two classes (the request was for 6+6 Sims/Bagley IIRC). Lastly, the WIP blog entry: link Cheers and thanks for looking! RoeT |

I'm committed to 1/2400, but it is IJN and USN
so I think I'll have to get me a sample sometime soon! |

Cheers HesseCassel! :D Hope your sample come out to your liking; and the process 'uneventful' (apart from the long wait time from ordering up to the time the product/s knock at your doorstep :/ ) |

Hi everyone, Hope your Dec. 25 was fine ;) Some new designs available for the Italian Navy: BB Caio Duilio (x2) link BB Conte di Cavour (x2) link Alternatively, I've bundled those four ships into one pack: Italian Reconstructed Dreadnoughts (2+2) link DD Navigatori link I've also started painting some of the ships and will be replacing the standard Shapeways renders if/when they're done :D (meh, they're tiny! o_O ) Cheers and best wishes for the next year! |

(TMP copy pasta) Hi everyone, A month after and three, almost different "sculpts" :/ Queen Elizabeth class BB Set A ( shpws.me/3J4b ) - HMS Barham 1941 - HMS Warspite 1942 - HMS Malaya 1943 Cheers and thanks for looking! P.S.
no "small" ship to go with these unfortunately :( I'll be doing an "experiment" of sort for a compromise in having one of the ships in a pack/sprue (any of the starboard/portside-most ship) with one half having a smooth, glass-like surface
For this I'm doing Emile Bertin 1942 and 1943 (pre- and post- US refit) for want of a unique ship as my personal flagship, though the US refit has one less 6" gun XD |

While you're at it, you should make the CA Algerie, which was probably the most-used French CA, both before and after the armistice. MH |
mattatknsn | 18 Jan 2012 6:33 p.m. PST |
Yep, Algerie. Another beaut
till they replaced the mainmast with a box of AAs :-\ Planning on having the FN uniques (CA and CLs) in one item. Quite a lot of research in there. Vs the CL swarm of the Italians (still needs the Capitani Romani)
Speaking of Italians: heavy cruisers :-D |

Now available is the Italian Navy WWII Aircraft Carriers via Shapeways. Includes the following ships: Aquila(1943) Sparviero(1943) Bonfoglietti(1932 design) Includes 20 "aircrafts" (10 on each longitudinal support) based on the Re2001 (at this scale, it might as well represent a couple of different other aircrafts, albeit closer in silhouette, like the Supermarine Spitfire) The item can be found at shpws.me/3Pp2 Thanks! |

Matt I've always wanted to be able to play Avalon Hills Bismarck game using 1/4800 miniatures for the combat part of the game. CnC cover many but not all of those required. I've made a full list but off the top of my head I know I would need the following, might you consider making them? HMS Eagle HMS Hermes HMS Ark Royal HMS Cario HMS Exeter (for variant game) US North Carolina Augusta |

The US Brooklyn class CLs [1942] look great Roe!! I especially like the 18 SOC Seagulls that come with them . They are going in my next order ! Robert My 1/4800 scale Naval Wargaming Yahoo Group link

Cheers Robert! Guess 9 x 15 x 6" shells should do (for now
more to come should the Clevelands get started XD ) --- @Timmo Thanks for the list! The soonest that will appear from your UK list would be the Exeter (many have requested her together with York, and lately the last two QEs) I can't comment on the UK CVs yet, them being unique ships? (still traumatized by the Illustrious' hull o_O) HMS Cario
would that be a typo for HMS Cairo/C-class (Carlisle) CL? For the US list: sorry but only the Northampton class is the soonest. The BBs I have planned are the NYs, SDs and COs. Nonetheless, I do plan to fill in any/all ships (reference/literatures-willing)
question though is how soonest :( Cheers and thanks, will definitely list those ships down ;) |
| Timmo uk | 23 Mar 2012 4:12 p.m. PST |
Matt I can wait, after all this project has been considered many times over the years. Cairo – yes C-class (typo). CV's I'm not sure I don't know enough about them to know if they are unique or not. I guess I could always use extra Illustrious models as place-holders. Ditto US classes. Exeter is encouraging news. Is there anywhere that I can see images of your actual models rather than rendering? |
mattatknsn | 23 Mar 2012 5:07 p.m. PST |
Hi Timmo, Hmmm
apart from my *gasp* Facebook and the pics in my shop, I haven't been taking pics nor painted anything lately. I have the ships up to the 1/4800 HMS Lion(1939) though, didn't want to take pics since, as you see on those white blobs of 1/1800, it's hard to make out the details, moreso at 1/14800 (planning a painting session soon though) |
