As the title says, I thought I would share my experience assembly the tem story foam core building from GameCraft. I haven't seen anyone else post on this topic so I thought it might be of interest. Overall, the walls were clean and went together nicely. I may have made things difficult on myself, but I had fun and I will probably pick ups a few more of these. They look like an inexpensive way to putogether a modern city. Here are a few pictures of the process with the rest of the pictures and a complete write up at my blog. Thanks for looking. Interesting – thanks. I like the look of the foam core building flanked by the cork buildingd. Looks good. Doug |

Yeah, I was quite pleased with how they look together.

Is it just me or would the same buildings, which look pretty darn spiffy, be better with the backs open
the requisite floors
so to make use of the structures fully for gaming aspects? On a standard gaming table place these buildings facing each other and allow the players access to the guts and windows aplenty :) |

There are ruined versions of these buildings that have floors. Adding interior floors to these would require some additional work but wouldn't be hard. I haven't decided on what to do with this building but I am thinking of adding acetate film to the inside to make the building look like it has mirrored glass. This reduces the functionality somewhat, but would look damn cool on the table. |

Very nice. I did a little review on the GameCraft Miniatures 28mm Modular Gothic foamcore building. I liked it a lot but I'm looking forward to GCM releasing them in MDF. |

Very cool! I recently picked up 14 of them including ruined versions in 15mm. The only issue I had was sealing the edges on the ruins. I ended up using hot glue to seal the ends. Thanks, John |

I have several cans of matt sealer that I was planning on using to seal everything. The size of this pieces makes it difficult and time consuming to use other routes. |

I have several cans of matt sealer that I was planning on using to seal everything I would not suggest this, at least not before testing. Most of the foam inside of foam core will be eaten by spray sealers and spray paint. I would strongly suggest not spraying the foam unless you are using something like floral spray paint (make sure it is the type that is safe with floral foam). You could also try Krylon H2O acrylic sray paint. It does not cover as wall as normal enamel paint, but it will not eat the foam. Just remember to always test the spray paint before spraying any type of foam. Jeff |

Hey Ray, it's almost 20 inches tall and 8 inches wide. If you click on the pics at the website it'll show the dimensions. Thanks, John |

Definitely going to have to get a few for Infinity boards, but not 10-story monsters. It's too bad that nice square buildings make excellent killzones, though. I'll only be able to use a couple square buildings, all the rest are going to have to be odd shapes like I see in Japan. |

Keep on coming back to these – and I am pretty sure I don't like them
not for this scale. It isn't so much that I don't like the size and design – I actually do. However, for 28 mm I expect buildings to have interior use
at the very least floors for each level. If each level was a separate unit, you could mix them up and have buildings of whatever height you want (purchase one top, one ground and as many of the middle floors as you want). It would also open up the catalog more. They could offer something like a first floor storefront option, office building (which they have now), residential and light industrial. That would make it easier to flesh out the cities and provide a bit more interest for the invading forces (whether they are aliens, zombies or the Canadians). |

The ruined versions do have partial floors you can add. Thanks, John |

I think the important issue is these buildings are only $20. So you get quite a bit for not much money and not much work. You could add interiors, or seperate the floors with a little effort. But given the cost these are a nice way to fill up a table. |

Considering that these are foamcore, modification is a non-issue. It would be quite easy to add floors, and to make them more modular by simply applying a sharp craft knife and some imagination. Combine that with the affordability, I fail to see what there is to to dislike
