As part of the Solo Gaming Appreciation Day I was able to play a game of Song of Drums and Shakos using my 42mm wooden toy soldiers. Hope you enjoy the battle report and pictures: link Dale |

Looks great! I like your vivandiere model; she adds a nice touch to the game. Rick |

The wooden soldiers are cute! (is that an inappropriate term for toy soldiers? perhaps Very Sharp would be better?). I hadn;t heard of Solo Gaming day but luckily I fought one yesterday anyway! -Ross |

Cute is fine; it is a common response and perfectly appropriate. Yesterday was 11/11/11 – note all the ones – and thus the Solo Wargaming forum on Yahoo decided to declare it as such. Did the same on 1/1/11. Seems to me the best days are 01/01, 01/10, 10/01, and 10/10 but whatever! Any reason to pull out the troops and game. It gets me motivated to make and paint more troops.
