Clearly we need a Star Trek board if there's going to be a Star Wars Board. But just one ? That would be folly. I propose a board to cover The Enterprise era. What say you ? Yeah go on

Nope, I'd say if there's going to be Star Trek Board then it should cover all eras of Star Trek as they are supposed be all connected in the same continuity. If not then the Star Wars board supporters will want seperate boards for Prequels, Sequels, KotOR, NJO, etc. That will lead to a Board Race between the Star Wars and Star Trek faction as neither side will accept a "Board Gap". It could lead to an All-Out Boarder War! |

Actually multiple star wars and star trek boards are a good idea, you can have a good SW's board and then a crap prequel board, you can have TNG and TOS and DS9 boards and a rest of Star Trek board… |

I thought the different eras of Trek – with their widely disperate technologies – would benefit from being treated as individual boards. Maybe the proposed (and sure to be approved with a minority vote of 50) Star Wars board should also be subdivided for appropriate periods ? |

Actually all of the eras of Star Trek seem to have the same sorts of types of technology, it really varied on the level of sophistication. Enterprise introduced things like transporters, hand phasers, cloaking devices, and even holodecks. All of these technologies were available in each era of Star Trek, just varied in the sophistication and perhaps some of the application. All in all technology in Star Trek was a writers gimick to advance the plot because in no matter what era you were in you could always overcome some situation by tweaking the main deflector of sending a phased polaron pulse through some other device. |

I liked Enterprise but I don't know if I would use the board. I'm not even sure I'd use a single Star Trek board. But I'll do my part and vote yes. |

Why not lump it in with Star Wars and call it the Star Blargh board? |
