Hi just some photos of some figures I've painted. Not sure they are finished yet as I've still a couple of platoons more to paint so might change some details. I think HammerHead wanted to see some examples.

First and last photo the Command team are left to right are WestWind, WestWind, FOA. Background of first are all TAG.
Middle Journalists are FOA , background are all TAG.

Ah, thanks for posting pictures, I`m looking to buy FOA figures I don`t like mucking about buying a pack here a pack there saves on shipping. Intersting period, growing up as a boy nightly reports of events on tv. B-52Ds contrailing an droppin ordence etc. How did you make the tufts of grass look great, & the falling shot guy wow staight out of Platoon!! Are there local stockest in NZ or is it a long wait? @Arrigo Rambo is to the left of Willem Defoe. HammerHead, I have to order via the Web. It can a while sometimes for parcels to arrive from the UK or US. I cannot recall having a problem with my NAM orders though. The long grass is grass tufts from a couple of different firms with static grass hiding the edges as they would not sit down properly. It was my first time using the tufts so am really pleased with them. My favorite Movies are the ones you mentioned. |

Interesting, is there a problem with Westwind people seem lukewarm to them. I`ve played a couple of `nam videogames they also fought through cities to give up jungle theme for a change |

I quite like Westwind sculpts and would rate the figures my favorite and worst figures possibly in the same pack. They are also sold in big packs so its not possible to order just what you want. I seem to have too many M60's but got around that by using them as dismounted ACAV crews.(once I have enough ACAV's that is) TET would be interesting to play but I need to get some more Oriental/Colonial type buildings. |
