I`ve read with interest several post talking about a `painting slump` does over painting contrubute to painting slump feelings?

Do you mean spending too much time on a figure, obsessing about getting it "just right"?

Or do you mean painting over an old paint job, maybe from years back when your skills were not as honed?

I don't do the first, and have mostly resisted the temptation of the second.

If they are good enough to put on the table in front of my kids who are NOT that critical, they are good enough, even though I may be dissatisfied with them. Any time I spent going back over them is better spent on the mountain of unpainted minis.

But to answer your question, I don't think I have painting slumps, but there's a lot of time I don't HAVE any (time that is) for painting.

If you mean paint, paint, paint, paint, then yes for me. Right now I'm in a gaming mode, and have 1 battalion and a general that needs painting and have a order in mind sso when that painting jones comes I'll be back in it.

I have my own obsessions, but happily that is not one of them. (I do have a hard time finishing projects, however.)

The last time I spent too much time on a figure trying to get the lace knots perfect, I crunched the car on my way to work.
