I want to buy some buildings for my 54mm police/military to fight over. Would O scale railroad type buildings work for this size figure? Has anyone used that scale for buidlings? |

I have used O scale for large 28mm and also for 40mm. I know it works great for 40mm. I am not sure about 54mm. |

O scale is 1/43.5 in the UK or 1/48 in the US. 54mm is 1/32. So 54mm figures will generaly be bigger (in scale terms) than O scale buildings. Given that, it is really up to you to decide whether this difference is important to you or not. |

Personally, I think O scale buildings are way too small for 54mm. But, as long as you like the look of it, go for it. Especially since finding 1 gauge models is a lot more difficult. |

I own the buildings and 54mm figs. It would look quite strange. Thanks, John |

Ok, I guess 54mm and O scale are out. What would be a good size building for 54mm figures? |

If I remember right, it's G scale that is closest to 1/32. Hard to find in my area. |

G scale is actually a little large versus 54s (maybe around 1:28), but easier on the eye than O scale |

Michael B! Are you looking for contemporary Good-Old-US-of-A type buildings, or something period and British/Continent? If the latter, you might want to look at "Little Houses" in 54mm scale for "Funny Little Wars." Please follow the links on the Home Page at link If the "look" is right for you, I think you'll be very pleased with the possibilities. TVAG |

Visited Michael's and Hobby Lobby yesterday. One of them, can't remember which, had cardboard building that were two-story houses, for around $5 each. They are the smooth-finish, cardboard type buildings that are then painted, or covered, to dress them up as desired. The two-story houses were a bit "white picket fence" in design, but they could easily be hacked, with a coping saw, to form nice, two-story ruins. Just butt some together, side-to-side, to form tenement buildings, add some brick texture with a brick printout, cut and glued, and voila! Not terribly expensive, but very customizable! Cheers! |

I think these were at michael's. I gues I need to make a stop there this week. I downloaded the free buildings at Combat storm. I think I am going to cut them up and paste them to white foam board. |

Sgt. Slag great minds think alike. That's what I did with mine for my 54mm WWII games. Hacked em up! Thanks, John |
