For a year or so, I've been thinking about a scenario based on a '50s movie, and collecting some of the things I'd need. The movie, and hence the scenario I'm coming up with, is totally lacking in historicity, full of stereotypes and cliches, and completely lacking in anything resembling political correctness. In fact, pretty much the only thing the flick doesn't have is gals in chainmail bikinis. The ladies run around Dark Ages Scandinavia in dresses that don't reach their knees, but nary a bit of chainmail. The other night it struck me: why should I let the movie as my source keep me from using the chainmail bikini cliche? It's got everything else, might just as well include that. Anyway, since I'm coming at this from a historical gaming background, I don't actually know who might make decent 28mm gals in chainmail bikinis that would fit in with my Foundry and Old Glory figures. Any suggestions?

P.S. Come to think of it, suggestions for 28mm gals in short dresses with swords, spears or axes would also be useful. Got to have followers to back up our well armored leaders.

Reaper, although you may need to pick and choose carefully.

Generally speaking, the minis with cast-on bases are smaller than their counterparts with slottabases.

I asked a very similar question a couple of years ago. TMP link I'm still collecting 'em, slowly but surely, one at a time…

I'm sure Grenadier or Ral Partha did a pack of "Bimbos with guns". You could chop the guns and give them melee weapons instead.

Many thanks! I've been checking out the figure suggestions, and there is a lot of good stuff there. I suspect that, like Geoff, I will be buying these one or two at a time, and painting them up as good blondes (and of course, a not so good brunette) so I can one day game The Viking Women and the Sea Serpent (1957, American International).
