Oh nice. Has more of a Star Wars Trade Federation/Droid Army feel to it than a Ghost in the Shell think tank though….Could just be the colour scheme.

I seem to remember the GITS spider tank in the movie being way different… I'll have to go back and watch it again. DVDs be blessed.

I gotta say that tihs looks like a pretty much perfect replica of the tank in the movie. On the pictures, it looks a bit skinnier, though.

You might be confusing the "spider tank" with the Tachikomas, which were far more prevalent.

Nah. The Tachikoma light tanks are unforgettable. The heavy tank that was in the series was pretty damn cool. I just don't remember this one all that well. Just have to dig out my copy of the movie…it's been a few years since I saw it.

Looks almost exactly like the tank in the first movie- the one in the final battle in the abandoned museum. Proportions are off slightly, or its the photo. Just a little long, but very sweet. I wish I had one of them :)

It appears to match the few images online for it, although the paint scheme might not be "garish" enough. (most anime coloring is a little more on the splashy side). Hard to tell though, and I don't remember the color scheme used in the movie.

I think the tank from the move had a generic off-white/beige color to it.

Comparing the model to an image i found on the internet, the main body and "abdomen" are too narrow.

Yep. I noticed that too when I rewatched the movie. It seemed Model is just too slim, nothing more. Still pretty close and looks good. :P

Not bad though, if he didn't get the copyright stuff to do an "official" model, the slimmer look could be the difference needed to not break IP laws… Still looks darn close!

Very cool!

But *I* want a 28mm scale HAW206 from the Standalone Complex series…
