I'm currently building up some Battlefront Panzer IV-H's and some Battlefront Sd Kfz 251 halftracks. The Pz IV's have taken a ton of cleaning up. The metal cast tracks took a couple of hours to clean flash and mold marks. I was underwelmed with the tracks. The hangers for the side skirts are fiddly-little bits and took way longer than I thought to get attached. I'm almost done with construction and will be happy to move to paint. The resin half-tracks are nice, but I'm disappointed in the way the plastic tracks attach to the models. The pins don't really have a placement point and are too short to drill out placement point in the resin. I built up a superglue attachment point since I'm out of epoxy, but I fear it will be too brittle on the gaming table. I guess time will tell. What is everyone else working up? Mark |
