The button to post new news has been grayed out for me for a few days now. I directly messaged Mr/ Armintrout, but haven't gotten any reply. I'm a contributing member and pay my advertising bills :) |

Days, try weeks.
I used to be a supporting member. Bill is making a new and improved hobby news system: 23rd of July news. "It's time to revamp the Hobby News system – the "machinery" behind the scenes that makes it all run, from article submission to editing to scheduling to publication. This is one of the oldest parts of TMP, and it needs updating to add features and make it easier to use.
Therefore, Hobby News will be closed starting next Monday while the programming work begins. The expectation is that Hobby News II will be ready in a week… the new system won't look much different to the average reader, but it'll make a big difference to news submitters and to my daily workload!" |

Wow, I sense a certain hostility here :) I'm perfectly willing to cut Bill a break. He's doing a great service for us and the hobby and I don't feel like he owes us anything. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something wrong on my end of things. I'll wait until the new system is up and running and submit my news then. |
