OK – Please no giggling! I am after a few penguins suitable for 15mm figures No snowball / lance armed / seal riding ones just real looking ones and I've tried Mike Yarrow but no luck. Not fussed about species either (nor eggs). Also hunting (ouch – sorry) for some Musk Ox – I do know Hovels have something in this line (possibly Bison) but cannot find it. Thanks in advance Andrew Main site: blog.kings-sleep.me.uk |

yeah but Inuits are at the north pole and penguins are south pole which is why the polar bears don't eat penguins |

The musk ox will be a tough one. Most of them that I have seen in miniature are far from accurate (both much too large and much too stylized/wrong). They are a pretty small animal, so using something like a bison or a yak (both easier to find) would yield something bigger than the musk ox. You might try taking something like an N-scale cow and use that as the base for the musk ox. |

Beasley The Beastman, This is going to be damned hard to track down, I fear, but I found some perfect musk ox for 15 mm many years ago (and, no, you can't have mine) but they were not designed for 'our' hobby. They are stamps of the sort popular with teachers and come nicely painted (only one pose, of course) where you remove a base and then there is a self-filling ink stamp. Cut off the stamp and you have a nice musk ox (also got a nice rhino from the same source). Unfortunately, the source is out of business, Wishing Well. But I'm reasonably sure they came out of China. If you have the patience, search Eco the toy company out of China and see if they have them. And go back and check MY miniatures again, I thought they made some. If not them, I believe someone else does. Also check TT scale figurines but be warned even if you "find them" they may be out of production. Good luck, and don't take my heading personal – I have more beasties than probably any other twenty "normal" gamers, just works for me. |

EMW / miniMo – Thanks for the reminder to check and link The figures arrived and they are not bad – a little water buffalo in looks as the horns are close to the head but very suitable for a game of Tusk or two
I now own a nice sized herd |
