None. Not sure why but Stones albums always had something in them I did not like.

Tough one, but I see the original poster can't decide either. We'll assume it's Top 3 Favorite Rolling Stones albums then?

The Rolling Stones, Now link
Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass) link
Through The Past, Darkly link

The last two are compilations but in the US that was the only way to get some of these singles on albums.

For me, once Brian Jones left in 1969, the band became completely different. Still a good group, but different.

I know the history, that Jones was having substance abuse issues and contributing less and less to the group as time went on, but I also know the records.

What I really liked were those fabulous catchy 60s singles, pop / blues / rock with varied arrangements, that really defined rock and roll for me.

Their early 70s albums.

Sticky Fingers
Exile on Main Street
Goats Head Soup

Dark, mostly

Wow, that's hard. Exile, maybe? Sticky Fingers?
I can't choose.

Exile
Sticky Fingers
Let it bleed

Favourite incarnation is with Mick Taylor.

Anyone who loves the Stones should get the re-mastered "Ladies and gentlemen, the Rolling Stones!" Footage from the US 1972 "Exile" tour. Fabulous. Talk about a band that is tight and in their prime!

High Tide and Green Grass. It was the "soundtrack" of one of my best summers.

Sticky Fingers

I like a variety of their music, but like x42, there is a lot of it that I don't like also. I might have a greatest hits album somewhere, but was never into them enough to buy more than that.

Stick your fingers in your ears (or something like that)

KSmyth03 Sep 2011 11:49 a.m. PST

Let it Bleed. No question, numero uno.

I also like Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street.
